The Base has everything you need to tick off all the items on your nice list – and get a treat or two for yourself.  We LOVE Christmas and it shows – so to help you get through your list quick-smart and find a little more time to be merry, we’ve compiled some top tips on how to have the best possible time shopping in our centre at this time of year.

When to visit:

With an increased amount of people choosing to shop at this time of year, naturally we have an increased traffic flow throughout the centre and our carparks. It’s important to note that sometimes traffic is from large visitation to our carparks, however sometimes the traffic is on the surrounding streets and in traffic light phasing; something that we have limited control over. If you want to make things easier, we recommend the best time to visit is right when we open (see our opening hours here) and in the two hours before we close. We find the quietest days are on Monday and Tuesdays in the morning, or on our late nights. Our busiest times are the weekends, particularly around lunchtime. As we get closer to Christmas, we have also added extra late nights for your convenience. See these here.

Where to park:

With over 3,000 FREE carparks, we know we’ll have one for you.  In addition to our standard parking, we have special parks for:

• Those with accessible needs – situated close to mall entrances and convenient to large external retailers
• Seniors – situated close to mall entrances and convenient to large external retailers
• Caregivers with prams – situated close to mall entrances and convenient to large external retailers
• 30 minute Click and Collect Parks – situated in the basement near travelator and escalator and outside near Briscoes and The Warehouse
• Driving electric?  Look for our EV and Tesla charging stations in the basement carpark and fill up while you shop

Our quietest carpark is at the Northern End of the centre (on your right as you come in on The Base Parade) – access and parking is fast and easy.  You can find more information on planning your visit here.
