Rawrrr! Discover Dinosaurs at The Base these school holidays!
From 25 September – 08 October 2023 Waikato kids are invited along to our dinosaur themed activity site to learn about different dinosaurs and join in our dinosaur themed activities!
- Dinosaur Wall Display – Dinosaurs on display in perspex boxes (museum style!) with information plaques for each dinosaur. Kids can check out their favourite dinosaurs and learn about their history.
- Scavenger Hunt – A dinosaur themed scavenger hunt around Te Awa, with a FREE Ben & Jerrys ice cream voucher gifted to those who complete the hunt! Kids are given a sheet with a map, and must embark on an adventure around Te Awa to find the hiding dinosaurs and collect the letters! Once they find all the letters, they must unscramble to reveal the secret word to receive their voucher for ice cream.
- Dinosaur Themed Activities – Colouring-in, puzzles, word search.
Running both weeks of the school holidays. 10am - 4pm daily.
Located at the main entrance to Te Awa, near the customer service desk.
